One of the well known and most convenient methods of carrying cash or paying cash is via debit cards. Debit cards are a safe and efficient way to roam around and use you money as they require a special PIN number which is only known by the owner of the card. This helps as you do not have to walk around with a bag or wallet filled with money and you will not be spotted either.

What Do Debit Cards Do? The owner of the debit card or the issuer opens an account which has a credit limitation set by them. The user or consumer then can avail the use of the card within that certain limit to pay for the purchases of the goods and services purchased by the owner. The issuer of the card can retrieve cash from ATMs using the card. Cards allow the consumer to have access to their cash as the amount within the cards are the card holder's personal money; unlike credit cards, it is not borrowed from the bank.

On the other hand, credit cards lets you make purchases by borrowing the money you use or will use from the bank. Viewing this through the bank's point of view, debit cards are used to withdraw cash from an account, likewise, credit cards increase a banks liability as the user is borrowing from the bank.

What Is A Co-Branded Prepaid Card? Co-branded prepaid cards are also like debit cards, they allow you to have access to your accounts. A co-branded card is often owned by business owners and their staff members. In this, a company merges with brands such as MasterCard or VISA; the cards have two or more logos upon them, one being of the company, the other of the brands. If you work in a company or if you own a company, you have a co-branded prepaid card as well. These cards allow you to gain access to your bank accounts irrespective of time and day, and can be used where VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

Co-Branded Prepaid Card Co-branded prepaid cards are like debit cards, but are an outcome of a merger between a company and brands. Such cards typically have 2 or more logos on them. If for instance a business merges with brands such as MasterCard or VISA one of the logos will be of the company and the others will be of the brands it partnered with.

The biggest advantage of having co-branded prepaid cards is that you can have access to your account while seated in another country as well. Brands like MasterCard are internationally accepted and let you withdraw any amount of cash at anytime.

Where & How Can Debits Cards Be Used? There are numerous places where you can avail the use of your debit card. It can be in the mall, stores, hotels, motels, resorts, spas, restaurants, gas stations, or theatre.

An ATM can be found almost everywhere nowadays, they can be found inside or in front of banks, or at the corner end of a street. If you wish to access your cash and account through an ATM machine, you must insert your card within the slot, choose the appropriate action, enter your PIN number, and collect the receipt on your way out, it is that simple.

You can easily access your money through a card reader machine. This machine is commonly found in shops, stores, and gas stations. It is kind of like a mini ATM, which lets you pay directly from your account.

Debit card is a safe way to carry your money as it is a very useful tool and is convenient as well. However, for business owners co-branded prepaid cards can pay off.
