Tips To Follow For Public Restroom Germ Protection

By Ronald Kennedy

Public restrooms are available for people to use when they need to relieve themselves while they are somewhere far from their home. These places could be a mall, restaurant or other establishments where anyone can use them among the many patrons. These rooms are cleaned by employees within a certain schedule usually during the whole day.

Not all places though have these cleaned regularly and if they do, their schedules have large gaps between them enough for bacteria growth. That is why public restroom germ protection items are helpful for people when out and about so bringing them is essential. If you cannot carry one with you or have not yet owned them then follow these things when using toilets instead.

Seeking the cleanest stall is hard because they will have similar looks unless you observe a difference in their physical dirt. The less used ones are usually the cleanest but knowing which one among them is almost an impossibility though this is usually the farthest away from the door. This is due to most people seeking privacy.

There are available toilet seat covers in almost all stalls that is similar looking with transparent films because they are very thin. These are used for blocking harmful bacteria previous occupants might have left and added security is possible with multiple layers. Use toilet paper for your protection instead when these are unavailable.

Sometimes people immediately go inside stalls and fail to check first if toilet paper is available there which is problematic to deal with. Always check first before going in or you may need to ask for help from others using the public restroom. But sometimes you are alone there or using a room with one stall only.

You must avoid flushing using your hands because various bodily projectiles might have landed on its handle. Some toilets have motion sensors to flush them automatically after being used but others have not installed this technology or theirs are broken. Flush it using your foot instead while avoiding a contact on your skin.

When using the toilet, its water may splash back and touch your private parts which is dangerous due to their potential germs. This could be solved by placing tissue in there to from a layer of landing pad that can soften the landing of your excrement. Doing this prevents excessive splashing completely or minimize it.

Wash thoroughly your hands because this helps fight bad bacteria and to avoid catching disease or sickness of some kind. Use soap generously with hot water being preferred when available and properly scrub both sides including the wrists. This process usually finishes in thirty seconds and you may repeat it when you want to be completely safe.

Drying your hands is not the only use for paper towels as they could be used also for providing you protection if you need to touch things within the restroom. This is advisable for handling handles of sinks or doors as these are often touched by people. Your immune system must be trusted also as these tips do not guarantee you perfect protection when followed.
